 Post subject: Heightmap format ?

Hello,

I would like to know what is the Heightmap format in the sample of the Terrain Extension because I can't get it working with a smooth terrain with another heightmap file...
Maybe there is a tool to convert bitmap file to this TGA format ?

The editor has a tool plugin to convert an 8 or 16bit heightmap into the format used by the terrain sample.
The format is described in the wiki http://www.horde3d.org/wiki/index.php5?title=Terrain_Extension.
The red channel of the texture contains the coarse height, while the green channel encodes finer graduations.
The data for the normal map is encoded in the blue and alpha channel
