Additional RenderTarget formats In addition to the currently supported RenderTarget formats (RGBA8, RGBA16F and RGBA32F), it would be very helpful for performance of some algorithms if 2-component formats where also supported: LA8, LA16F, LA32F (for instance). 1-dimensional formats (L8, L16F and L32F) perform very badly on many cards, but they also might be useful to save memory on cards where they are fully supported. |

Additional RenderTarget formats Thanks for the proposition, that's no problem to add. NVidia has a list of supported texture formats: http://developer.nvidia.com/object/nv_ogl_texture_formats.html I'm not aware of something similar for ATI but since most of the formats are coming from an ATI OGL extension I think they should have broad support. |
