Hi all,

I noticed the sound extension is still LGPL, I was thinking about tweaking it for my project but I require it to be EPL and I can't seem to find the original author's email so I'm asking here if it is possible to change it to the EPL, thanks! I want to also improve/extend it to support sound input and more backends and plan to contribute back.

The extension was entirely written by Fidora, so he is the only one who can change the license. If you want, you can try to contact him via a forum private message.

I've relicensed the sound extension in the community svn to the more permissive MIT license.

Hi Fidora,

Thank you for changing the license, EPL would've been fine but MIT works as well. :) I've got it running on my N900 using tremor/vorbisidec now and it seems to work ok.

One quick question though, I've found the sound to be a little glitchy here and there and I was wondering if there's anything I could try to fix it, would I need to make a separate thread to fix it? I'm using openal-soft with pulseaudio so those two might be causing it.

Thanks again
